About

Welcome to Maddox Special Education Advocacy! I’m Lisa Maddox, a paralegal and special education advocate focusing on helping families navigate the world of special education while ensuring your child’s rights are being preserved.

My passion for special education began in 2012 when I secured my first job as a paralegal with an attorney practicing education law. I spent the next three years in that position learning the ins and outs of special education law. Those years coupled with my additional years as a family law paralegal taught me many of the skills I continue to use today to be an effective advocate.

The knowledge gained through my professional experience later became helpful tools to advocate for my own children. As a parent, I understand the challenges, the frustration, and the worries that can arise when your child’s educational needs aren’t being met. Over the years I have helped many family members, friends and community members secure the support their children need.

These personal encounters have fueled my commitment to advocating for families just like yours. I understand that every child is unique, and every family’s situation is different. My approach is tailored to meet your specific needs. If you’re facing challenges in the realm of special education, I invite you to reach out. Let’s work together to ensure that your child receives the education they deserve.
